What is an In-home support service?
In-home support service is a residential service available to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of your loved one. At Ardent Healthcare Services, we provide in-home support services to children, adolescents, and adults. In-home support service provides an additional layer of care to the care that the family or other unpaid caregivers are providing to the individual. In addition to family care, In-home support services should empower each individual to enhance or maintain their health and medical condition, reside independently at home within the community, develop their abilities and life skills, and exhibit safe and appropriate behavior to the best of their ability.

In-home support provides skill-building or training plus continued support that allows individuals to acquire, maintain, or improve the self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills essential for thriving in their community.

Cost & payment methods include private pay, Building Independence (BI), Family & Individual Support (FIS), and Community Living (CL) waivers.

IHSS entails skill-building support that allows individuals to acquire, maintain, or improve the self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills essential for thriving in their community. In home support services includes:

  • Skill-Building Support: Assistance with personal care activities (ADLs/IADLs), household chores, food preparation, money management, and more.
  • General Health Support: Monitoring health and physical conditions while providing support services.
